My name is Shelley Vukman and I am a summer 2011 academic adviser and consultant for the First-Year Testing, Consulting, and Advising Program (FTCAP) at Penn State. I attended Penn State as an undergraduate where I discovered my love for learning. I was excited the moment I stepped on Penn State’s campus, yet overwhelmed at times when I faced challenges as a result of my new found independence.
I intend to use this blog to address students FTCAP frequently asked questions and current issues impacting Penn State students. I will also discuss current studies on emerging adulthood as researchers are uncovering how distinct and challenging this transition in life can be for young adults.
